On a beautiful sunny Monday of 25^th June 2007 this last creation of Diano Shipyards has been launched.

Diano “Lux”, this is the name of the new yacht, was the protagonist of the ceremony that preceded the launch. After the classic bottle of Champagne smashed on the prow, under the satisfied looks of the complete Management staff of InRizzardi Group, the vessel slides sweetly in the sea in front of the Yard, like a radiant actress of the most traditional and ancient kind of launches. Together with the ship-owner, a renowned Tuscan antiquarian , several personages and representatives of the media attended this special event.

During the ceremony, skilled workers of Diano Yard handled to the ownership a parchment-memory.

Diano “Lux” is a 22-meter custom motoryacht (the overall length is close to 24 metres) entirely realized of wood, as per Yard’s tradition. Worked out by the well known masters of axe of the yard, this noble material breaths and becomes a living part of the boat, it does not know any age conserving always his original aspect. In case of collision, it is extremely easy repairable without alter the mechanical resistance and characteristics of the whole structure. Each wood yacht made by Cantieri Diano is a unique masterpiece.

Interior lay-out, furniture, precious fabrics, components and accessories of the “Lux” have been chosen to meet taste and requirements of the Ship-owner.

 

It was in 1980 when Mario Diano begun his entrepreneurial activity with the winter storage of boats. Two years later he started the construction of his first 18-metres long yacht. Today, the Yard in Riva Trigoso (GE) builds motor yachts from 20 to 35 metres of length.

Nowadays, Diano is one of the last Yards with handicraft production, not only considering the Italian territory, but also including the European market. The Yard’s production team is done by high-qualified persons, in cooperation with other professional craftsmen and personnel of minor companies.

With the acquisition of the Cantieri Diano, “InRizzardi” continues his policy of expansion and strengthening of the Group, and can count now on 4 different brands and products.

The range is increasing towards ever and ever more demanding customers, requiring entirely wooden yachts.
